Problematic Sexualized Behavior
I work with children ages 6–12 and their families who are navigating problematic sexual behaviors using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Problematic Sexual Behaviors (TF-CBT-PSB). Problematic sexual behaviors in children can include difficulties with boundaries, impulsivity, repeated sexualized behaviors that are not developmentally appropriate, challenges with emotional regulation, or behaviors that may create concern within the home, school, or community. Treatment focuses on increasing safety, strengthening caregiver involvement, improving emotional and behavioral regulation, building healthy boundaries, and supporting healthy development in a non-shaming and supportive environment. I believe children are capable of growth and change, and I work closely with families to provide structured, evidence-based care that is individualized to each child’s unique needs and circumstances.
